Global Alternative Investment Expo 2017 – 6th Sept ’17

Indian Association of Alternative Investment Funds (IAAIF) is supporting the inaugural Global Alternative Investment Expo, organised by the Association of International Wealth Management of India (AIWMI). The event is scheduled on 6th September 2017 in Mumbai at hotel Taj Lands End. The Expo will be held parallel to the Family Office Summit 2017.

This Expo is a first-of- its-kind platform in India which will bring together some of the best alternative investment opportunities available for the Indian investors today. It will cover different alternative investment classes like Art, Commodities, Collectibles, Startups, Impact Investments, AIFs, Venture Debt, P2P Lending platforms, crowd funding platforms, REITs, InvITs, Incubators, Accelerators etc., including wealth distribution options like philanthropy.

In Brexit Wake, Belgium Devises Competitive Real Estate Investment Vehicle

The prospect of Brexit has instigated a great deal of uncertainty in a number of market sectors, but one country is attempting to capitalize upon the possibility that London will no longer be the leading European financial center. The Belgian legislature has created a new real estate investment vehicle that is intended to provide a model platform for asset managers serving investors with real estate investments throughout Europe. The new investment vehicle’s hallmarks include a flexible “light touch” regulatory framework and a competitive tax regime inviting international investment in physical and liquid real estate assets. Ultimately, it affords institutional and professional investors access to a real estate investment platform unburdened by stringent regulatory requirements, intended to promote portfolio risk-return customization.
